Cosmelan
Cosmelan is a peel that induces brightening action and treats a range of skin blemishes including melasma, pigmentation, age/dark spots, hyperpigmentation, freckles, chloasma and senile blemishes.
It is the world’s leading depigmentation treatment.
Treatment
The treatment consists of a number of phases. The first phase is 4 weeks in total to be completed at home in preparation for the main event. The Cosmelan peel treatment is then performed at the clinic, and the following phase is your at-home maintenance program that facilitates long-term results. See the detailed steps below:
Step 1: Preparation
At home, 4 weeks prior to treatment
Begin skin preparation using my recommended skincare products and priming brightening peel booster.
Step 2: Cosmelan Professional Treatment
In-clinic, day of treatment
The Cosmelan mask is applied at Facestudio and removed at home 8-12 hours later, as instructed during the session. Recovery products will then be applied for the following 72 hours.
Step 3: Review and LED Treatment
In-clinic, 3 days post treatment
You will return to the studio for a follow-up skin analysis with me and I will photograph to monitor your progress. This is followed by a soothing LED light therapy treatment to assist with the recovery and healing process.
Step 4: Aftercare
At home, 3 days to 6 months post treatment
Application of the post treatment products will ensure depigmentation continues at-home and the optimal results are achieved.
